The unauthorized intervention took place on December 8, 2011, in the National Congress, in Brasilia, with the participation of dozens of people who threw 360 life buoys in the water mirror in front of the parliament.
The plastic buoys were numbered and adhered with the phrase Art saves during a workshop organized with the students of the University of Brasilia (UnB). The action showed art as a possibility of rescue and rescue of civic consciousness.
It was my first collaborative intervention. Questioned why I acted outside the legality, I argued that asking authorization would reduce the work, and that the use of public space to make art is a democratic and legitimate right. Congress is the "people's house", and art transcends politics. This intervention was non-partisan; a gift from society to the National Congress.
